Student Leaders

During Term 4 each year, students in Year 5 are given the opportunity to nominate for School Captain.  They are asked to write a speech to present to the student body, stating why they would make a good leader.  The student body then gathers to hear the speeches and then all students and teachers vote. After votes are counted, we are able to determine the two School Captains and Vice Captains for the following year. At our Annual Presentation Day Assembly at the end of Term 4 the school leaders are inducted for the following year. 

In 2007, we trialled a new style of leadership for students in Year 5 and 6. The model involves more students being engaged in more diverse citizenship roles other than those previously held and undertaken by our Captains and vice captains. The program will be modified in 2008 to ensure all students are actively engaged in their roles.

• Recreation
• Induction
• Environment
